Challange

Launching a new product line from a new brand to the new market

Kefi Flavours is a tobacco manufacturing company that has recently moved to Cyprus pursuing the intention to manufacture and launch a brand new product line to be distributed in the European market. Lack of knowledge in marketing combined with the presence of ambitions in business made up the essence of our synergy. Initially having limited to the package design only clients subsequently followed our advice allowing us to connect with the challenge directly.

The first mission was to resurrect the brand starting with interviewing the founder and CEO of the company; the next phase was to outline the brand character by defining its purpose, vision, mission and want by extracting insight from the information provided on the interview; the final step was to translate the brand character into the required brand personality by choosing its values, interests, strengths, attributes, archetype and uniqueness statement.

The second mission was to develop a visual identity system starting with identifying a concept that conveys the brand message, it was an enduring procedure that had successfully ended up with the clear-cut concept; the second phase was all about finding correct typography, colours and “K” silhouette mix and match creative play; the last phase was to design corporate identity items: Business Cards, Letterheads, Envelopes.

The third mission was to design a product line; It was a specially challenging case the authorities banned the use of fruit names and images in the design; Experimenting with different ideas we have ended up creating our own unique names-code-system; Which in the process served to be used as mini logos of the individual product; In the next step we have prepared three different package design (250gr, 500gr, 100gr); Finally we have moved to the actual labelling and designing.

The fourth mission was to develop various marketing materials for the exhibition in Germany. The main challenge was to communicate the brand message to the selected target audience through design and materials. The main item on fire was the brochure; Apart from it we have designed a few outdoor banners and billboards and a set of promotional freebies including the bracelets and T-Shirts.

Finally, the fifths and last mission were to build a single page website for distributors. Starting with a design of a new structure we moved to website content; then have implemented the features and development of the pages; lastly, the website was cross-device and cross-browser optimised and connected to various analytics platforms including google.
